Soccer

Connor is playing soccer for the 2nd time. He really loves playing. It is usually the first sport he wants to play then softball. He had a game on Saturday and it is fun to watch these boys run all over the field. They all have a great time you can tell. The boys did very well since it was pretty hot out. Here are a few shots of our soccer star!

Fun at the Fair

We went to the Spokane Interstate Fair last night and had so much fun. We ate some good fair food. Corn dogs, elephant ears, cotton candy and shaved ice. Connor decided to do the tractor pull for the first time and had fun. All the kids got a ribbon at the end even if they didn't come in first. Ryan was very sad he couldn't do it also but you had to be 4. They felt bad for him so they let him ride on one. He even got a ribbon. He was thrilled! After that we let the boys go on the rides. They had so much fun. This was the first time we have gone to the fair since Ryan was 2 weeks old. They both loved all the rides and rode them tons. It was getting cold so we decided to go walk around in some of buildings for a while. When we warmed up we rode some more rides and then headed home. We also stopped to see horses, goats and some sheep. I think next year we will be heading back.

1st day of school

Today Connor started the 3rd grade. I can't believe it! Where has the time gone. He was so excited this year to start school. He is going to a new school this year and I thought he would be a little nervous but he seemed really excited this morning. When I picked him up after school he told me he had a great day. He made a new friend and really likes his new teacher. So here is to the start of a new year. I hope it goes smoothly and Connor has a lot of fun and learns alot.

The End of Summer

So it is the end of summer and school starts this Wednesday. I can't believe it! Where did it go? Connor starts his new school and is going into the 3rd grade. So crazy! Ryan turned 3 last week. We had a fun time at the party. He was so excited to have a birthday. He has been talking about it for weeks. I ended up having everyone over for a BBQ and I made cupcakes for him. He loved it all. He is a very active little guy and is willing to try just about anything. He has such an easygoing, funny personality. Connor is just as active but he tends to be a little more reserved and serious. (very much like his father)
Here are some pics from the party:

Other than having a quiet summer, we have been doing well. I am going to dialysis 3x a week and that is going well. We are finally in a routine that is working well for us. Shannon just finished a movie and is busy working on cars to fill in until the next one starts in a few weeks. MOPS has started for the year and we have our first meeting this Friday. Connor will be starting soccer in a couple of weeks and has his first game on the 18th. He is very excited. Shannon and I will celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary on the 19th of September. Wow! I can't believe I have been married for so long. I am looking forward to having a very busy year.
Even though we haven't really done a lot we have had a good time. I love to spend time with my boys. The are so awesome!!
Here are some pics from over the summer:

Now onto Fall and all the fun stuff that goes along with that. We always go to the pumpkin patch and to Manito Park for a photo shoot. I love Fall and all that goes along with it!

Our "new" normal

We are settling into what we are now calling our "new" normal. If you haven't heard we have had a crazy and life changing month. On the 13th of March we moved into our new place. We are renting a 3 bedroom duplex out in the valley, about 30 minutes from where we lived before. We love it out here! On the 18th we celebrated my 39th birthday at my sister's. Her husband bbq steaks and chicken. It was so good!!! Also, that day I had gone to see a hematologist to see what was going on with my blood levels. They were still really low from September when I had my surgery for a polyp in my uterus. Anyway, they drew tons of blood and saw I was still low. He wanted to wait to see what the rest of the results were before he decided what to do. On the 19th he called and told me to come right in. He told me the reason for the low blood was because my kidneys were not functioning right. My numbers were terrible. I believe he used the words "in the toilet". He called the kidney Dr I had seen when pregnant with Ryan and that Dr wanted to have me admitted right way. I was stunned but went in. When I got checked into my room the Dr came into see me and told me I would need to start dialysis right away. I was whisked away to have a catheter place in my chest so they could do that. I had my first treatment that day. To make a very long week short, I was there until the 27th of March and left with the diagnosis of End-Stage Renal Failure. I am now doing dialysis 3x week for 4 hours each time. I feel so much better then I have in along time. Now as you realize I have 2 very active boys and it isn't very convenient to have to go 3x week so I am hoping to get a kidney transplant in the next year or so. That is been our crazy month thus far. Our life have done a 180. I do know that God's hands are all over this and He is with me everyday I walk this crazy road. I know that He will bring us through this in His time. I believe there is a reason for everything, what that is I have no idea but my Father in heaven knows and I am leaning on Him right now. I would not be able to get through this with out Him, He is my strength!! I do ask for prayers for a kidney match. We have been blessed to have so many people behind us praying and giving support and we thank them all so very much. Continue praying! Love to you all!
